There is a short list showing runners who both meet the minimum requirement of placing in 3 races and those who have at placed in 2 races and need only to place in 1 more to become eligible for the competition. This short list is posted on the Race KC Series page. Please note – this does not reflect whether you have paid for a KCTC or Guest KCTC membership, which is also required to be eligible in the competition. You will need to be a member or guest member by October 15.
While the original ceremony was to take place in December, due to scheduling conflicts, the ceremony will now take place on October 29, 2016! This also means that while there are races scheduled through the month of November, the 2016 competition will end early. The two remaining races that will count towards 2016 standings are the Cliff Hanger 8K (Oct 8) and the Kansas City Half Marathon (Oct 15).
The remaining races (Halloween Hustle 10K, Gobbler Grind 5k, and Ward Parkway Thanksgiving Day 5K) will now count towards the 2017 competition.

There will be a run at 10 AM, followed by a chili competition, and the Race KC Series awards. If you would like to enter the chili competition, please submit your name in advance so we can know the number of contenders. Members are free to attend the awards ceremony, non-members must pay $5.
