Outpacing Melanoma 5K

Support our community with your family and friends at the 8th Annual Outpacing Melanoma 5K in the prestigious setting of Corporate Woods Office Park.

Outpacing Melanoma is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to funding research for, and increasing awareness of, melanoma by promoting prevention, screening, and early detection throughout the KC region.  Proceeds support melanoma research and help fund the Melanoma Survivorship Clinic at The University of Kansas Cancer Center.

Our 5K course is USATF certified, and custom medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age division. Plaques are given to the Overall male and female, and Overall Masters male and female.  Our Kid Trot is for children ages 10 and under and each participant receives a ribbon, goody bag and t-shirt.

Guest speakers, including survivors, will shed light and hope on melanoma (the deadliest form of skin cancer). Participants are invited to enjoy post race refreshments. Strollers and dogs (on a leash) are welcome too!
